WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING
We had a wonderful experience with Sonia Patwardhan of Laasya Art while choosing art for our home. Sonia’s collection was extensive and beautifully curated with art for all tastes by some of India’s most famous artists. This is really hard to find, especially in the Bay Area. Sonia was patient and thoughtful in understanding what we wanted and helped us choose the right pieces for our home without any pressure. I highly recommend a visit to Laasya Gallery if you’re looking for unique art from the Indian subcontinent.

Sonia is a rare breed of art consultant and collector. She is equally fair to both the artist and the collector. She is very knowledgeable and works with the individual’s taste and preferences to find the right piece for them. Sonia has wide ranging interest in Indian art that varies from tribal to contemporary. I bought 2 paintings from her, and the advice she gave us on choosing the right piece for the space was spot on. Both the Ramesh Gorjala and Om Swami works add a lot of joy and beauty to our home. I would highly recommend working with Sonia – Laasya worked better for me than spending time alone in galleries in India.

We had a wonderful experience working with Sonia at Laasya Art. Sonia had unique pieces of paintings of some of my favorite artists, and she worked with me extensively to get to know my taste, colors, what makes me happy and what kind of art resonates with me before selling any of the art. After buying a few pieces, I commissioned a large painting. I told her what I was looking for and she worked with the artist very closely, sent her pictures of where the painting was going to be, how much light was in that area, what colors I wanted to see in that painting, etc. It was truly a wonderful experience working with Sonia!
